Kelley Kawamoto, DC, is from the Bay Area of California. Her long and winding road to where she is as a Healthcare Provider began after her time in junior college studying pre-Engineering and pre-Med. In her infinite wisdom, she took a sabbatical from traditional academia to later complete a program in a massage school, National Holistic Institute (NHI), as a Holistic Bodywork Therapist and Educator. Eventually, she became a re-entry college student at CSU Bakersfield, an NCAA Division Swimmer, earning a BS in Physical Education and a Minor in Psychology, emphasizing teaching/coaching and athletic training. Although at this time, she was intent on becoming a Physical Therapist after completing her required volunteer hours, as fate would have it, she became employed as PT Aide for several years. This change in trajectory leads her to the path of chiropractic and more holistic endeavors. Years later, in 2018, Kelley completed more college by graduating from Medical School. However, at this time, her calling and eternal purpose have been to serve and give to the public with what she has collected in her Holistic, Wellness, and Functional skills toolbox for the time being.
As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Kelley has continued to seek knowledge to improve her chiropractic craft for her patients by delving into certification seminars for her continuing education in the following areas, which focus on how to make a better brain/cognition, ergonomics/structure, exercise/rehab/correction, and function/recovery. She has an arsenal of adjusting techniques and diverse protocols for meeting patients where they are, creating attainable patient goals, and achieving better patient outcomes. As a patient advocate and provider, she is convinced that with her years in customer service and her time as a personal trainer, the culmination of all experiences will be passed on to building better patient care plans and outcomes. She likes to joke and say, “we all need to play nice in the sandbox” for the betterment of our patients.
